Initiated in July 2026, Million Voices seeks to assist one million girls by addressing period poverty in South Africa. The campaign is inspired by Nyovest’s experiences as a husband and father, bringing attention to the issue that he recently became more aware of.

Despite progress, period poverty continues to pose challenges for numerous South African learners, with limited access to menstrual hygiene products impacting school attendance and educational chances. Million Voices is aiming to raise R100 million to supply sanitary products, uphold girls’ dignity, and keep them in school.

The initiative has also garnered support from other corporate entities, including Universal Music South Africa, which previously donated R25,000. With SGS South Africa’s R100,000 contribution, the campaign strengthens its fundraising efforts and highlights how corporate involvement can aid community projects.

As part of the global SGS network, SGS South Africa’s engagement enhances the corporate backing for Nyovest’s efforts, which aims to link financial aid with the practical needs of girls nationwide. The focus of the partnership is on accessibility to menstrual products, education, and equality.

With this latest donation, Million Voices moves closer to its ambitious fundraising goal. For Nyovest, the campaign represents more than just financial gain; it is about enabling girls to acquire the necessary products, attend school respectfully, and pursue an education free from the obstacles posed by inadequate menstrual hygiene.
