Entrepreneur Thami Ndlala has committed millions for legal support after a public disagreement involving model and media figure Thandi “Blue” Mbombo.

At the same time, he is raising concerns about how his own legal situation was managed by law enforcement.

During a press conference following recent legal events pertaining to Mbombo, Ndlala refuted allegations of threatening her.

He also asserted that his actions were aimed at upholding her rights and dignity.

“I did not threaten Miss Mbombo,” Ndlala stated. “I safeguarded her rights; I preserved her dignity. I have been vilified and labeled a monster on her social media today,” he continued.

Ndlala characterized the incident as a challenging time for victims of gender-based violence (GBV) and described the accusations leveled against him as “a total fabrication”.

He questioned the thoroughness of the investigation into the matter. In fact, he expressed a lack of trust in the South African Police Service (Saps).

“I believe this issue should be examined by the commissioner’s office, Fannie Masemola, and [the Madlanga commission] should issue a subpoena for that document,” he noted.

Ndlala claimed that the controversy has harmed his reputation and tarnished his name.

Extra R1 million for GBV organizations

An additional R1 million has been allocated to reputable non-governmental and community-based organizations committed to fighting gender-based violence and aiding victims in need of legal support.

Combined, the R9 million commitment to SP Attorneys and the new R1 million donation totals R10 million.

This funding is intended to enhance access to legal services for at-risk individuals.

The foundation also clarified its past association with Mbombo, stating that it provided assistance when there were concerns regarding her safety linked to her then-partner, Tebogo Nokwane.

The organization stated that the information it received at that time included claims of threats and intimidation, including an alleged coffin threat.

It stressed that these concerns were taken seriously and reaffirmed its stance against threats directed at women.

Later, Ndlala appeared on Mac G’s Podcast and Chill Network, where he addressed inquiries from the host and co-host Sol Penduka.

Additionally, he shared audio recordings from the police and Nokwane, while attempting to explain the reasons he filed a theft case against Mbombo concerning a missing Rolex.
