Nota Commends Nasty C’s Progress as Tall Racks Promotes Speed Run Sessions. In response to Nasty C’s “Speed Run Day 2” post on X, shared under the hashtag #SpeedRunTallracks, Nota remarked: “Now you’re moving like an OG… Proud of your progress, keep it up!”

Nota’s encouragement comes as Nasty C further develops the Speed Run initiative, which prompts artists to produce and record demos within a constrained timeframe. This method also invites fans to influence the music’s direction by commenting and voting on which tracks should be elaborated while others may be set aside.

Day 2 expanded this initiative, yielding several demos made available to the public, following collaborative studio sessions earlier in the week that featured artists such as Tellaman, Tshego, and Flvme.

Nota, known for his forthright commentary, often a source of controversy in South African hip-hop, has previously critiqued various leading artists, including Nasty C. His recent statements, however, emphasize the rapper’s growth and suggest a positive appraisal of his artistic trajectory.

The discussion has reignited interest in Nasty C’s music-making approach via Tall Racks Music. By merging limited-time recording sessions, collaboration, and active audience participation, the rapper creates a platform for fans to engage in the creative process before final decisions are made on songs.

For an artist recognized for his skill and global aspirations, this initiative provides an avenue to explore fresh concepts while involving other artists along the way.

Nota’s acknowledgment is especially significant given his history of open critiques regarding Nasty C and other notable personalities in the local rap community. His latest comments focus on the rapper’s recent achievements rather than past conflicts.

It remains uncertain whether this exchange marks a shift in their relationship. For now, Nota’s recognition serves as public validation of what he perceives as growth in Nasty C’s artistic approach, delivering a clear message of support as the Speed Run sessions proceed.
