Toronto-based artist Drake is escalating his legal battle against Universal Music Group (UMG) by seeking confidential documents connected to Kendrick Lamar in a defamation case.<\/p>\n

He is urging the court to compel UMG and its CEO, Lucian Grainge, to produce the complete contract of Kendrick Lamar.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Drake is requesting information related to accusations of domestic violence and other alleged criminal behavior involving the Compton artist, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Drake claims that UMG endorsed false statements made against him via Kendrick Lamar\u2019s diss track Not Like Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Drake\u2019s team demands an assessment of Lamar\u2019s music catalogue over the previous five and a half years.<\/p>\n

In his diss track Family Matters<\/em>, Drake notably accuses Lamar of treating his wife poorly and questions his parental capabilities.<\/p>\n

In response, UMG maintains that Lucian Grainge had \u201cno meaningful involvement\u201d in this matter.<\/p>\n
