As the current holder of the South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best Hip Hop Album of the Year, Priddy Ugly has recently introduced new music during the SAMA\u200831 Nominee Announcement live stream.<\/p>\n

During this live event, he presented a new track titled \u201cHow We Step,\u201d<\/strong> created by KindlyNxsh (Kindlynxsh.exe) and produced by Herc Cut The Lights. The announcement was made through his Instagram post, where he shared a concise yet meaningful note: \u201cHOW WE STEP \u2013 Prod. By @kindlynxsh.exe & @herc_cutthelights. The introduction of new music by Priddy Ugly during the SAMA 31 nominee livestream signifies a crucial chapter in his artistic path. Upon the release of Dust<\/em> in January 2024, it was hailed as the concluding part of a trilogy that featured Soil<\/em> (2021) and Mud<\/em> (2022).<\/p>\n

Within just a year of its launch, Dust<\/em> received accolades as the Best Hip Hop Album at the 30th edition of the South African Music Awards. This achievement proved to be a major turning point in Priddy Ugly\u2019s journey, solidifying the album\u2019s status as one of the most significant local hip-hop offerings of the year.<\/p>\n

Following this success, he shared his intentions for a deluxe edition, indicating a burst of creativity. In a recent update on Instagram, Priddy Ugly mentioned that he hadn\u2019t been in the studio for several months. \u201cLast time I recorded any work of my own was in March,\u201d he disclosed. He also confirmed that some of the work from that time will make its way into his forthcoming release. \u201cYou\u2019ll hear some of that in the deluxe that I\u2019ll be dropping soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a recent discussion with DJ Fresh on the WAW Podcast, Priddy Ugly affirmed that the deluxe version of DUST is set to be released on September 26, 2024. He conveyed, \u201cI got a deluxe, the deluxe version of my album Dust just to celebrate the plaques, the gold and platinum plaques. You\u2019ll be getting snippets here and there and we got a documentary dropping very, very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
