Stokvel actress Manaka Ranaka recently talked about her dual role as both mother and grandmother to her late daughter Katlego Ranaka’s child, Mpho.
Earlier this year, the Ranaka family announced the tragic loss of their daughter, Katlego Ranaka, who died at just 24.
Recently, the actress drew attention on social media when she revealed her struggles with her daughter’s passing.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, the Generations: The Legacy star appeared on King David’s Podcast .
In her podcast appearance, Ranaka mentioned that children play a vital role in her healing process.
“The kids know that KG is in heaven. For me, I don’t think I would have survived if I didn’t have these 2 boys. It’s easier,” says the thespian.
Ranaka also noted during the conversation that her son, Lesedi, and her grandson, Mpho, are only six months apart.
She remarked that Katlego’s sister, Naledi Ranaka, has been deeply affected by their sister’s death.
