This incident has revived tensions that have been simmering during his previous visits.
Young Stunna pulls out of Zimbabwe show
The ‘Adiwele‘ artist was set to perform at Fiesta Fiesta, sharing the stage with Sha Sha. However, his absence due to an ‘unexpected family emergency’ transformed what was intended to be an exciting evening into chaos.
According to a report by H-Metro, fans who began lining up early in the afternoon expressed their outrage by throwing bottles at the stage and causing property damage.
In response to the uproar, Young Stunna issued a ‘sincere’ apology.
“It is with much regret that we announce the postponement of my performances this weekend scheduled for 8th – 10th August 2025 due to an unforeseen family emergency.
“We understand this may have caused great inconvenience for the promoter, their sponsors, as well as the fans/supporters, therefore we truly apologize.”
Fans react to artist’s cancelled performance
“Posting your cancellation after the show is crazy when fans have been waiting since 1 pm for you. You hate Zimbabwe,” lamented one frustrated fan online.
Another commenter stated, “The least you could have done was inform us about the emergency before the show, not after witnessing an angry crowd.”
While some users on social media offered their good wishes, hoping the emergency was legitimate, many others accused him of disregarding his Zimbabwean audience.
Young Stunna’s previous visits to Zimbabwe
This is not the first incident of this nature. In 2023, his absence from Bulawayo’s Shorts and Shades event led to a similar backlash, with furious fans tossing items onto the stage.
Back in 2022, a bottle reportedly hit him during a performance in Zimbabwe.
Despite his chart-topping tracks like Bopha and Adiwele, Young Stunna’s appearances in Zimbabwe have become a source of disappointment for many concertgoers—a concerning trend that may strain his relationship with a once-dedicated fan base.
