BhutLegend Discusses His Near Decision to Abandon ‘Imali’ Featuring iFani & Bravo Le Roux. BhutLegend has announced the release date for his anticipated single Imali, which includes verses from renowned lyricist iFani and the late Bravo Le Roux.

The track is now scheduled for release on March 13, 2026, with a presave link already accessible through BhutLegend’s social media profiles. The announcement was accompanied by a sincere explanation as the artist detailed the reason for the delay that pushed the release past its original February 2026 date.
BhutLegend explained that various unforeseen circumstances interrupted the rollout. He also expressed that he faced internal conflict regarding the track’s release due to the emotional connections linked to the project.
This uncertainty stemmed partly from the death of Bravo Le Roux, whose verse on Imali is now among his last recordings. The choice to release a song associated with such personal grief presented challenges for BhutLegend, complicating the decision-making process.
He shared that the collaboration stemmed from his respect for iFani, an artist he and his team have admired for quite some time. This respect informed the creative direction of Imali, facilitating a collaboration between artists from different eras of South African hip hop. The contributions from both rappers enhanced the overall impact of the track.
Despite his concerns, BhutLegend mentioned that his team urged him to proceed with the release, reiterating the song’s significance to Bravo Le Roux.
“The record meant a lot to my brother the same way it means a lot to me,” BhutLegend reflected on the collaboration. “Truth be told, we’ve always been big fans of iFani, hence we even made this record with him.”
The song was produced by IvyBlak, while the mixing and mastering were overseen by Isaac Wilson ZA. The artwork for the single was created by Umxhaka__.
This delay highlights the complicated emotions that artists can experience when their music intersects with personal loss and legacy. In this instance, BhutLegend has garnered support from fans who view Imali as both a collaborative effort and a tribute to Bravo Le Roux’s enduring influence.
With a lineup of respected artists and polished production, Imali is poised to be a thoughtful and poignant release. The title, translating to “money” in isiZulu and isiXhosa, suggests themes of ambition, survival, and respect within the culture. Fans are encouraged to presave the track ahead of its March 13 launch.
