Zozibini Tunzi is transitioning to a new role in South African television as she has been announced as the latest host of Top Billing.
This revelation marks a significant change for the classic lifestyle show, with producers hinting at a revitalized approach as it prepares to return to television.
Tunzi, who gained international recognition after her Miss Universe win in 2019, now adds the title of television presenter to her list of accolades.
In a statement that introduced her to the audience, the program noted her ability to bring “grace, intelligence and unmistakable presence” to the Top Billing lineup; characteristics that allowed her to excel on global platforms and now make her an engaging figure for the reimagined series.
Her first appearance is set for Thursday, 30 April at 7pm on S3, with encore showings scheduled for Sundays at 1pm on the same channel, and a repeat on Tuesdays at 9:30pm on SABC1 and SABC+.
The relaunch is being framed as more than a typical comeback, with the team hinting at “fresh stories, inspiring moments, and a whole new energy” aimed at engaging both devoted fans and new viewers.
Under Tunzi’s leadership, Top Billing seems ready to enter a new phase, and early hints suggest that additional surprises may be in store.
