The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced the cancellation of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Elective Congress, which was set to take place on September 27 in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Softfootball posits that this cancellation could lead to significant restructuring within Nigerian football. Reports suggest that the NSC intends to form a three-month normalization committee to manage the federation and prepare for new elections.

This decision follows a challenging time for Nigerian football, marked by the Super Falcons’ inability to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
