Records highlight what can be achieved. Confidence is the crucial element runners bring to the starting line.
The Alphafly 4 is designed to assist runners in maintaining their strength longer, pushing themselves a bit further during the race, and exploring what is achievable over the full marathon distance.
“I’ve run in just about every race day shoe out there, and Alphafly 4 is my No. 1 pick,” says Meaghan Murray, who tested the Alphafly 4 prototype. “It has the most propulsive yet comfortable and cushioned ride I’ve experienced in a race shoe. It is softer and bouncier than before, and the upper is comfortable and accommodating.”
Nike Racing Footwear Lineup
The Alphafly 4 is included in Nike’s Racing footwear collection, a groundbreaking series designed with various runners, distances, and objectives in mind—whether it’s their initial race, targeting a faster 10K, aiming for a personal record in the marathon, or trying to beat an established best.
Each shoe serves a unique purpose and is fine-tuned as a cohesive unit: the Air component is there to return energy, the foam focuses on cushioning and weight management, a plate is used to shape transitions, and the upper secures the foot.
Nike has meticulously crafted each silhouette for a specific runner, distance, and goal. Look out for additional Nike Racing footwear that caters to various race-day aspirations—set to appear on podiums globally.
The Nike Alphafly 4 will be initially available for a limited release on September 17 at nike.com, with wider distribution starting October 29 at nike.com and selected retail outlets.
