Emtee Provides Significant Update On His Much-Anticipated ‘Nairobi’ Album. The rapper’s forthcoming album Nairobi seems to be approaching its final phases, as Emtee shared that the project is close to being finished. This release has been highly anticipated among his fanbase as he diligently works to finalize it.
Emtee Provides Significant Update On His Much-Anticipated ‘Nairobi’ AlbumThis announcement follows months of speculation regarding the album, with Emtee focusing much of his effort on its completion. “Nairobi almost done,” he mentioned. This latest news may indicate to dedicated followers that the long wait is finally approaching an end.
Nairobi continues a trend in Emtee’s music, where he names albums after his children. His debut album from 2015, Avery, was named in honor of his first son, and 2021’s release, Logan, paid tribute to his second son. The upcoming project is inspired by his daughter Nairobi, born in 2023.
The title also refers to a pivotal moment in Emtee’s artistic journey. He has talked about traveling to Kenya, where he collaborated with Trey Songz while managing health challenges. He considered this experience a “monumental moment” in his career.
Earlier in the year, Emtee demonstrated his dedication to the album by declining interview requests, stating: “I’m not doing interviews till Nairobi the album is done.” This comment, made in September, emphasized that completing the album was his top priority.
The artist has suggested that Nairobi will venture into new musical territory. He aims to incorporate live instrumentation into his work, moving beyond the trap sound traditionally linked with his music, integrating elements like keys, drums, and choral contributions.
This approach could differentiate the album’s sound, enabling Emtee to highlight varied facets of his musical talent. He has previously indicated that this upcoming work may be among his most substantial.
This update follows a challenging period marked by his performance at the Cape Town Kota Festival in September. Now focusing back on his studio work, excitement surrounding Nairobi is heightening.
Currently, Emtee has not disclosed a release date. However, his confirmation of the album’s near completion offers fans clear insight that the project’s release is imminent.
