Pamela Mtanga, a prominent television publicist, has received a nomination for Best TV Presenter at the 4th annual National Film & TV Awards South Africa just weeks following the launch of her latest Mzansi Magic show, VIP Lounge.
This nomination signifies an important achievement for the multimedia star, as her return to weekly television has swiftly established her reputation as one of the leading broadcast personalities in the nation.
The acknowledgment came shortly after the much-anticipated premiere of VIP Lounge on October 2.
Produced by Homebrew Films, the lifestyle and entertainment series features Mtanga along with co-host Zulu Mkhathini—who is concurrently nominated in the same category.
Together, they provide audiences a glimpse into celebrity lifestyles, behind-the-scenes glimpses of entertainment productions, and candid dialogues with key figures shaping the trends in South African fashion, music, and pop culture.
For Mtanga, this initial recognition is both astonishing and fulfilling.
“This recognition came as a massive surprise especially because the show has been on screen for less than a month,” Mtanga shared.
“I grew up watching lifestyle shows like Selimathunzi and Top Billing, and VIP Lounge is reminiscent of those shows.
Being a part of people’s homes and ultimately their Friday plans is such an incredible feeling, and to be nominated is even more special.”
This acknowledgment concludes a remarkably busy and triumphal October for the presenter, who is juggling multiple roles on Mzansi Magic.
On October 18, she made her debut as the host of Elevator Love, an innovative reality dating series that highlights her adaptability as she leads hopeful singles in their quest for love.
Mtanga’s current success during prime time builds on her impressive broadcasting background.
She has honed her craft on well-known programs such as Massive Music, Afrimaxx, and Will He Say Yes?.
Additionally, she has become a favored presenter for significant live entertainment events, having hosted major occasions like Miss South Africa 2025 and the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) 2025.
With two prominent shows currently airing and a coveted industry nomination to her credit, Mtanga’s latest phase in her career is advancing rapidly, firmly securing her place in South Africa’s entertainment limelight.
