Shaka Ilembe and Isitha: The Enemy actress Luyanda Zuma left her followers in shock over the weekend by revealing she was victimized in a scam that cost her R11 000.

Zuma previously made headlines when she addressed allegations of being unkind.

The beauty queen also sparked conversations on social media in 2025 after posting about being cheated in the Miss SA finalist event.

Entertainment expert Goodwill Thomo shared Zuma’s Instagram Story on his Facebook page, where she disclosed her experience of being scammed.

The actress wrote, “I got scammed R11,000 this morning.”

Zuma added that she was shocked by the deception and deemed it “a clean scam”.

Luyanda Zuma joins Isitha: The Enemy

The production confirmed through its X account on Friday, 24 April 2026, that Zuma is now part of the eTV soap opera’s cast.

“This season is all about truth, consequences, and survival, where family and enemy blur. #IsithaTheEnemy Season 4 premieres on Monday, 27 April at 8:30 PM,” said the show.

Zuma adds her talent to the series alongside Skeem Saam actress Harriet Manamela, portraying Martha’s aunt, Dorcas.

TVSA states that Zuma will play a young sangoma, Dabulamanzi.

The character embodies a young, attractive, and conflicted Ithwasa wrestling with her cultural duties and her aspirations.

Dabulamanzi finds herself on a path she did not choose and faces struggles concerning loyalty, fear, and her ethical beliefs.

More actors join Isitha: The Enemy

Joining the cast are former Isibaya actor Andile Mxakaza, who assumes the role of Zikali “Mapholoba” Ngcobo.

Mxakaza’s character is depicted as a former mayor evolved into a formidable underworld leader, marked by a calm demeanor, keen strategy, and a lethal edge.

Scandal! actor Bongani Gumede has also undertaken the role of Sam Gumede within the eTV telenovela.

Viewers will learn that Sam is the younger brother of Solly Gumede, a family member thought to be deceased.

“Having lived in exile in Tanzania during the apartheid era, Sam’s return is far from a warm reunion,” reads the statement.

The new cast members also include Homecoming and Shaka Ilembe actor Mpilo Mbatha, who will portray OJ, a medical student.

Mbatha’s character is characterized by a connection to Thenjiwe and is portrayed as a caring individual navigating the challenges of escaping his father’s troubling legacy.

Calvin Tladi, another former star from Shaka Ilembe, will also be featured as Kamavovo’s devoted assistant in the world of sangomas.
