The tense conflict between MySol and Benjy Maponya has come to light, with MySol revealing screenshots of their WhatsApp discussions that illustrate a breakdown of trust, monetary disputes, and intense ultimatums.

The leaked conversations show Benjy confronting MySol over what he described as a significant and unjust reduction in his financial payouts. He claimed that while he previously received payments of up to R500,000, his current share amounted to only a small portion of that. In the discussions, Benjy detailed his financial struggles, citing responsibilities such as his wife, family, and a R2.1 million house, arguing that MySol had made changes to their initial agreement without proper consultation.
Benjy also emphasized their personal connection, reminding MySol that he had treated him as a younger brother, introduced him to important networks, and supported him during challenging times. He expressed frustration at being excluded from profitable deals related to the N4 Cluster and Buffels West mining projects, suggesting that these agreements were being renegotiated without his knowledge.
Confrontations, defiance, and feelings of regret
The tone of the messages shifted when Benjy issued a firm warning: if his requests were not addressed and the original contract terms were not upheld, he would disclose everything to the public via social media. However, this threat did not have the intended impact.
MySol responded resolutely in the chats, asserting that social media scrutiny and public backlash “don’t scare” him. He demanded clarity and an accurate accounting of all financials if the contract were to be terminated, aiming to ensure his interests were adequately protected.
MySol conveyed considerable regret regarding their partnership, suggesting that engaging in business with Holdings had been a serious error. He accused Benjy of recklessly pursuing attention at his expense, stating in the conversation:
“Playing my card stupid thinking I’m getting u attention kanta ke senya.”
The situation escalated past social media disputes. Following a series of allegations that circulated on Facebook and during an episode of Podcast and Chill with MacG, MySol secured a court interdict from the Gauteng High Court, imposing legal restrictions on Benjy about specific claims he could make publicly.
