dj and producer Black Coffee is once again a hot topic on social media, this time due to a lavish watch he showcased in a new Instagram post.
This image, which subsequently made its way to X (formerly Twitter) after being shared by MDN News, highlighted the artist’s Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel; a watch that is said to be valued at over R5 million.
While some admirers commended the global artist for his appreciation of high-end fashion, others quickly initiated a conversation regarding wealth, expenditure, and social obligations.
One commenter expressed, “Why doesn’t he contribute to charitable causes?” while another pondered its significance on a global scale.
“What’s the dollar equivalent of R5 million? The guy frequently deals in dollars, spending most of his time abroad, so for him, R5 million might not be substantial unless it’s in dollars.”
Notorious social media personality Chris Excel also joined in with a pointed comment, stating: “Mbali made a mistake here.”
