The festive season appeared to arrive ahead of schedule for rapper Shebeshxt and a young admirer when footage of their gift exchange went viral on X.
The videos, posted by user @SkeemNoa, depicted the Limpopo-born musician receiving a Gucci baseball cap valued at over R10,000.
In the clip, Shebeshxt can be spotted humorously speculating about the authenticity of the luxurious cap, joking about its brand and remarking that it “smells like it was bought at my favourite market, Marabastad.”

Even with the playful ribbing, he graciously expressed his gratitude towards the fan and donned the designer hat enthusiastically.
The exchange didn’t conclude there.
Later, the fan shared another video showcasing a pair of Nike sneakers he received from Shebeshxt, stating: “Shebe gave me his two Nike shoes. Nice soul, that one ✊🏿.”
Although the exchange appeared genuine, reactions on social media were mixed.
Numerous users joked that Shebeshxt might “take back the gift after sunset,” teasing the rapper who recently showcased his bank balance online to demonstrate he isn’t financially struggling.
