The rapper from Durban has announced two forthcoming performances for this acclaimed live series, with Cape Town hosting the opening event on 31 October at Hearty Collective, followed by a homecoming in Durban on 28 November at The Villa. In an Instagram announcement, Blxckie mentioned he is bringing The Somnyama Show “back to where it started in 2023, then hitting the pozi as usual,” while tagging the venues and including his signature green-heart emoji. He also hinted at the possibility of more dates, inviting fans to suggest additional cities for the tour.
Hearty Collective holds significance, having hosted the inaugural Somnyama Show on 23 June 2023, where Blxckie performed alongside A-Reece and a number of other hip-hop artists. What began as one standalone show has evolved into a series that has become an integral part of Blxckie’s artistry and his ties to the South African hip-hop community.
Returning to Cape Town marks a significant milestone for the artist. Nearly three years after the series began at Hearty Collective, Blxckie is ready to bring the Somnyama vibe back to the venue before heading home to KwaZulu-Natal for another show in Durban.
