The versatile artist recently indicated that new music could be expected in 2026, suggesting a potential return to the studio while she continues her ventures in fashion and business. As reported by DRUM Magazine, Boity is also making her mark in the sneaker industry as the face of Bathu’s latest footwear launch, The Volt.

This collaboration was made public during a special launch event at Luxx Venue, where the surprise announcement invigorated attendees and marked a significant addition to her growing portfolio of collaborations.

In an interview with DRUM, Boity shared that this stage of her life is characterized by a more purposeful approach.

“I’m in a very intentional era. I’m a lot more selective about where I put my energy and what I attach my name to. In the earlier years, it was about exploring opportunities and finding my footing. Now it’s about alignment, purpose and building things that have longevity.”

More than ten years after her entry into the entertainment sector, the rap artist reflects on how the early phases of her career instilled discipline and resilience in her. She acknowledges that her entrepreneurial endeavors taught her fundamental lessons as well.

“Entrepreneurship has shown me how patient I actually am. A lot of people see the launch of a product and think that’s where the work begins, but the real work is everything that happens behind the scenes. The planning, the problem solving, the adjustments. It’s also taught me how important it is to trust your instincts.”

Throughout the years, Boity has broadened her brand by introducing beauty and fragrance lines and entering the beverage market. She emphasizes the necessity of adaptability for sustained success.

“Business always requires a bit of flexibility. You learn very quickly that the market evolves and you have to evolve with it. Some pivots have been about refining the product itself, while others have been about understanding the consumer better and adjusting the strategy.”

She added, “For me, the key has always been listening and learning. The more you understand your audience and the space you’re operating in, the better your decisions become.”

Her collaboration with Bathu emerged naturally through a shared appreciation for both the brand and her personal journey.

“It really came from a place of mutual respect. I’ve admired what Bathu has built as a brand, and the team has been watching my journey as well. When the conversation started about the Volt range and what they wanted it to represent, it felt like a natural alignment.”

Boity also played a significant role in influencing the creative direction of the collection.

“I had a really great level of creative input, which made the experience even more exciting. The team was very open to ideas and conversations around the aesthetic, the energy of the collection and how we wanted people to feel when they saw it.”

She claims that the final product embodies the bold essence of South African creativity.

“It’s bold, vibrant and unapologetic. It speaks to the confidence of South African culture and creativity right now. It’s also a reminder that local brands can innovate and create products that stand confidently in the fashion and lifestyle space.”

Despite her expanding presence in business and fashion, Boity asserts that music will always be her most personal medium for expression. While teasing upcoming releases anticipated in 2026, she remarked to DRUM, “Music will always have a special place in my heart. It’s one of the most personal ways I get to express myself creatively. Even when I step back from it for a while, the passion for it never really leaves.”

Boity, who has already been recognized with honors such as the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, is poised to enter the next chapter of her career with a clear commitment to longevity.

“You have to allow yourself to evolve, both as a person and as a brand. At the same time, it’s important to stay grounded in who you are and what you stand for. When you strike that balance, longevity becomes a lot more possible,” she concluded.
