Bravo Le Roux commits suicide in Switzerland
The family of the late South African musician Sinesipho Peter, known as Bravo Le Roux, has officially confirmed the circumstances surrounding his death in correspondence with the government of South Africa.
Bravo Le Roux died in Switzerland on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the young age of 30.
A statement regarding his death was issued the following day on his Instagram account, causing significant distress within the local music scene and for his fans nationwide.
In the wake of this tragedy, many citizens of South Africa have come together to support the artist’s family by contributing funds for the repatriation of his remains.
Sabrina Peter, who is also known as DJ Sab, initiated a GoFundMe campaign after reports indicated that the family was encountering funeral and repatriation costs estimated at R500,000.
According to a report from Daily Sun, the family has revealed details about the cause of Peter’s death.

The letter was reported to have been sent to Dirco spokesperson Clayson Monyela, as the family sought immediate aid in returning the late artist’s body to South Africa.
