Chymamusique laments harsh judgment after surviving a tragic accident that killed DJ Poizen
Chymamusique has shared insights regarding the emotional challenges he faces after being involved in a severe accident that resulted in the death of his friend and fellow artist, DJ Poizen.
On X, the DJ expressed his heartfelt thoughts on Sunday, discussing the ongoing struggles he experiences while striving to heal and move forward.
“People will make you feel like Surviving an accident is a SIN. Yal say things that destroy us inside even though you see that we are trying to fight for the next breath,” he wrote.
He emphasized that his ongoing existence should not be seen as tied to the tragic event.
“Anything I do can’t be linked to the misfortune, I live coz God decided. Let’s move fam, let’s cry while we move just like ambulances.”
The post attracted significant attention, igniting discussions on empathy and the unique challenges faced by survivors in the public sphere.
While many offered their encouragement, some shared suggestions on how he might safeguard his mental wellbeing.
One commenter advised him to take a break from social media, stating, “I think a number of people have mentioned this to you over the past few months but I’m going to repeat it and hope you take it to heart this time. Take a break off this app. A proper break. A few months or so. Delegate the responsibility of promoting your gigs to someone else.”
Another pointed out the cruel nature of online interactions, noting, “You came back on this app trying to be strong. But people always remind you about the accident that even took your friend. People on this app are cruel.”
In spite of the criticism and the advice given, numerous fans praised his strength and openness, with one supporter commenting, “We live in a world with very insensitive people, and surviving an accident especially with that much medical attention isn’t easy on you brother. Some of us look up to you for the resilience you’re showing and respect you all the more for such strength.”
