Cotton Fest Announces Music Video Launch for UCF Class of 2026 Mixtape. Johannesburg’s creative scene is alive with excitement as Cotton Fest continues to generate buzz around its Mixtape Project.

Following a series of successful listening events in Braamfontein, the collective has indicated that official music videos for the project are on the way, generating buzz among the growing community of “Cotton Eaters.”
“You’ve heard the MixTape, now it’s time for the music video,” the team playfully revealed in an announcement, sharing behind-the-scenes images that suggest an exciting visual approach.
The Cotton Fest Mixtape, highlighting the UCF Creative Programme’s Class of 2026 alongside notable Open Mic alumni, was released earlier this year following an intensive creative bootcamp with renowned producer MashBeatz. The project has received acclaim for its vivid storytelling, passionate lyricism, and innovative contribution to the South African hip-hop scene.
Attention is now turning towards the anticipated visuals, which are expected to reflect Johannesburg’s vibrant culture, the lively energy of past Cotton Fest events, and the movement’s iconic motto, “We Never Die, We Multiply.”
Cotton Fest has grown beyond just a music event. It has transformed into a platform that nurtures emerging voices across music, fashion, art, and youth culture, offering valuable opportunities for the next generation of creatives to develop their talents and gain exposure.
While an official release date for the music videos has yet to be announced, excitement continues to build online as Cotton Eaters eagerly await what promises to be another significant cultural milestone for the movement.
