DJ Chymamusique's Fans Rally Support, Raising R60k for His Recovery After Devastating Accident

Chymamusique

South African DJ and producer Chymamusique has voiced his heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support from fans who have come together to assist with his medical expenses.

The acclaimed artist, born Collen Mmotla, recently announced his return to the hospital, mere months after a tragic accident that took the life of his close associate, DJ Poizen.

After the car crash in August 2025, Chymamusique underwent several surgical procedures, which included a significant operation on his brain.

On Tuesday, November 11, he disclosed on X (previously known as Twitter) that his fans had contributed nearly R60,000 in just under a day via his BackaBuddy campaign to support his recovery.

“Yoh, my friends and supporters raised R60k in less than a day. I’m honestly speechless,” he shared, visibly moved by the generous contributions.

Fans across Mzansi responded with messages of support, praising his resilience and the love he continues to receive.

My friends reached 30k in 8 hours , they really wanted to do this for my medicine 💊
