A legal notice from Nhlapo Attorneys has surfaced, targeting Sandile Makhanya, known as Fly Motion, in light of remarks he made during a discussion on the podcast On Point With Sandy Nene, aired by Nawe Upopile Studios.
The document, dated 23 July 2026, asserts that the attorneys represent Mthokozisi Khathi, commonly referred to as DJ Tira.
They contend that specific comments made during the episode regarding DJ Tira and his enterprise, Afrotainment, are inaccurate, misleading, and damaging to his reputation.
The letter indicates that the language used in the interview suggested that DJ Tira had previously mistreated individuals associated with Afrotainment.
Additionally, the attorneys argue that references to “bad” individuals and associating them with serious offenses implied that these remarks were aimed at their client.
The correspondence also disputes the assertion that DJ Tira holds a dislike for Sandile Makhanya and the claim that Afrotainment is defunct, pointing out the lack of evidence for these allegations.
The attorneys emphasize that such statements could harm DJ Tira’s reputation and adversely affect his connections with artists, sponsors, business partners, and potential opportunities in the future.
As a result, they request that Sandile Makhanya stop disseminating these claims, retract and clarify his statements where applicable, and provide a written assurance within a week.
To date, Sandile Makhanya has not publicly responded to the letter. The claims made by DJ Tira’s lawyers are yet to be validated in a legal context.
