The murder trial involving well-known DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has been rescheduled for 1 April 2026 to enable further inquiry.

Victor Mthethwa Majola, a taxi business owner, along with Mozambican national Armindo Pacula, faced the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on allegations of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The two individuals were taken into custody regarding Stock’s murder, which occurred in December of the previous year.

Prosecutor Vincent Mochabela informed the court that law enforcement requires additional time to complete their investigation, prompting the postponement.

Stock was fatally shot on 16 December 2025 in proximity to the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg.

Authorities suspect the shooting was intentional and may relate to disputes linked to the installation of a biometric access control system by his security firm at Zambezi Flats.

Additionally, the killing is believed to be associated with conflicts concerning hijacked properties in the inner city of Johannesburg.

During court proceedings, Pacula’s attorney noted that his client might contemplate a plea deal, though no final decision has yet been reached.

The court was also informed that Pacula has expressed fears for his safety while incarcerated.

His attorney conveyed that Pacula believes his life may be in danger at the Johannesburg Correctional Centre and has requested a relocation.

“According to him, he is informing me that there are people who killed his friend, and he is afraid he might be killed if he is incarcerated at Johannesburg correctional services,” his attorney advised the court.

Subsequently, arrangements have been made for his transfer to Modderbee Correctional Centre.

The case is anticipated to continue in April as investigations proceed.
