The musician Donald has issued a thoughtful response following mockery of his look at the 2025 Miss South Africa pageant.
He gained attention after the contentious social media user Musa Khawula posted a photograph of him from the event, captioned, “Donald looking hungry at the 2025 Miss South Africa pageant.”
Rather than react negatively to the comments, Donald utilized his X (formerly Twitter) to express gratitude to his fans for their continued support, and to emphasize his strength in overcoming criticism.
“Thank you guys again for the continued love and support, I’m forever grateful and do not take any of it for granted. I want to also assure you that I do not get moved by negative comments towards me and my music career, it’s been happening since the first year I came onto the scene and it’s been 16 years of Donald and we still going strong,” he reflected.
The artist behind Over the Moon reiterated that no trolling would deter him from his musical aspirations.
“I will be here doing what I was born to do until the casket goes down and that’s a promise I plan to keep,” he remarked.
Fans commended Donald for his maturity and positive outlook, appreciating his choice to focus on gratitude instead of negativity.
