This friendly against Russia is anticipated to help the Nigerian coach assess several young talents as he continues to broaden the Super Eagles’ player options in preparation for future tournaments.
The 19-year-old has made a solid impression in France after transferring to Reims from Israeli side Hapoel Jerusalem during the summer transfer window.
Otomewo has participated in all seven Ligue 2 matches for Reims this season, playing a key role in the team’s campaign for promotion back to Ligue 1.
His selection offers a significant chance to impress Chelle and secure a regular spot in the Super Eagles roster as Nigeria readies for its upcoming international engagements.
