As she gears up both mentally and physically, Mswane shares insights into her preparation and what excites her the most about taking part in the show.
Tropika Island Of Treasure Season 12 is scheduled to debut on S3 later this year.
You’ve built a reputation for discipline and determination throughout your career. How are you applying those qualities as you prepare for the challenges of Tropika Island of Treasure?
Preparing for Tropika Island of Treasure has shown me that discipline and determination need to be cultivated every day, not just activated for significant moments. As I prepare for the island, I’m adopting the same approach: staying mentally alert, physically fit, and emotionally stable.
The competition is known for pushing contestants both physically and mentally. What does your current fitness and training routine look like ahead of your departure to Reunion Island?
I’m hitting the gym early in the morning five times a week alongside my trainer, focusing on cardiovascular endurance while also undergoing strength, weight, and stamina training. Occasionally, I add ballet or Pilates classes into my schedule, which helps enhance my flexibility and balance, while also providing a mental and physical reset.
Have you made any specific changes to your diet or wellness regimen to ensure you’re in peak condition for the competition?
I’ve always kept a relatively clean and balanced diet, so as the competition approaches, my goal has been to maintain consistency and nourish my body as effectively as I can.

As someone who has competed on some of the world’s biggest stages, how does preparing for a reality competition differ from preparing for a pageant?
Being true to myself has consistently produced the best outcomes in all my endeavors, so as I enter the show, I plan to be unapologetically and authentically myself, just as I have done on every platform and in all competitions I’ve participated in.
Tropika Island of Treasure is as much about mental resilience as it is physical ability. How are you preparing mentally for the pressures and unpredictability of island life and competition?
For me, preparation means intentionally fortifying my discipline, safeguarding my peace of mind, and staying connected to the aspects of my life that keep me centered. This includes adhering to a healthy routine, caring for my body, and allowing time for moments of stillness and reflection.
You’ve described yourself as someone who likes to win. What aspect of the competition are you most excited to test yourself against, and where do you think your biggest strengths will lie?
I’m particularly eager about the social component of the game since it’s an area I haven’t really had the chance to navigate in a competitive setting before. It brings a whole new layer of complexity, and I’m eager to challenge myself in that regard. I believe my strongest attributes are my determination and resilience. When I commit to something, I’m fiercely dedicated to seeing it through, no matter what obstacles arise.
Aside from the competition itself, what are you most looking forward to experiencing while on the island?
Beyond the competition, I’m most enthusiastic about immersing myself in the stunning beauty of La Réunion, from its awe-inspiring landscapes to the rich culture and adventures it offers. I’m looking forward to stepping outside of my normal routine, embracing new experiences, and making lasting memories along the way.
