Lasizwe Returns to TV: A New Chapter with DStv Following Recent Split

Lasizwe

Lasizwe Dambuza is making his return to DStv, just a few weeks post the termination of their collaboration which followed his public disagreement with Dominic Zaca.

The well-known YouTuber announced the revival and disclosed that a unique episode of his successful YouTube show Awkward Dates will be broadcast on the channel.

Lasizwe’s initial partnership with DStv was revealed in April 2025, part of an innovative agreement with local creators.

However, this collaboration was short-lived, with both sides citing differing reasons for the unexpected end.

Nevertheless, it appears that misunderstandings have been resolved. Entertainment blogger MDN News stated that MultiChoice, the parent company of DStv, re-engaged with Lasizwe to discuss re-establishing their partnership.

Sources suggest that the network was “extremely happy to work with him” but also “quietly disappointed” when Awkward Dates was taken off the air.

The renewed agreement is expected to bring Awkward Dates back to television, starting with a special episode on Mzansi Magic.
