Liverpool has initiated formal discussions with Genk regarding the potential acquisition of goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans.
Softfootball reports that Liverpool is evaluating whether to secure the goalkeeper in the near term or consider a transfer to Anfield that would occur in 2027.
This consideration is linked to Giorgi Mamardashvili, as Brughmans is being viewed as a viable replacement if the Georgian goalkeeper proceeds with a transfer to Nottingham Forest.
Currently, negotiations are underway between the two teams, with Liverpool weighing the optimal timing and framework for the transfer.
