Loatinover Pounds Maintains “Ground 2 Glory” Chart Leadership With “5 Roses.” The Pretoria artist is experiencing significant growth with his sophomore album Ground 2 Glory, marked by yet another notable achievement on the charts.
On X, the Pretoria rapper announced that “5 Roses” had secured the top spot on the Apple Music Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart. His previous track from Ground 2 Glory, “My Life”, follows closely at No. 2, earning him both leading positions.
“We got a new No. 1 Hip Hop / Rap Song!” Loatinover Pounds wrote in his post, accompanied by a screenshot that depicted Ground 2 Glory also occupying the top position on the Top Albums chart.
Released on September 25, 2026, under Punyete Premier League / MODAR, Ground 2 Glory has garnered widespread attention since its debut. In its first week, the album achieved over a million streams across platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music and ranked as the top album in South Africa, Botswana, and Eswatini.
The album’s success is complemented by earlier hits, including “My Life” and “Hood Gospels” featuring A-Reece, both of which have previously topped the Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart. Now, “5 Roses” joins this list of successful tracks.
In “5 Roses”, Pounds showcases a more melodic aspect of his style, creating a tender love song that enhances the diverse sound of Ground 2 Glory.
This latest milestone contributes to the rapper’s ongoing success, building on the groundwork laid by songs such as “Sosh Plata”. With his keen lyricism and storytelling rooted in Pretoria, Pounds uses Ground 2 Glory to meld reflective tracks, collaborations, and melodic pieces while maintaining his distinct identity.
With “5 Roses” now positioned at the top and Ground 2 Glory still leading the album chart, Pounds continues to sustain his project’s momentum long after its initial release.
