Arsenal is set to compete against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League final, as the newly crowned Premier League champions look to challenge the victors of the previous season’s Champions League.
Ahead of the final, PSG’s manager Luis Enrique commented on the significance of last year’s Champions League triumph for the club, stating that winning the title again would be an exceptional achievement.
Enrique also conveyed his high regard for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, noting his admiration for their performance during the Premier League season.
Here is his statement:
Winning the UCL, it was historical last year for PSG. But winning it twice in a row
… that would be fantastic. It’s an extra motivation for us.
I’m not surprised to see Arsenal winning the Premier League.
Seven years under Arteta, excellent team, they’ve been the most consistent this year.”
Softfootball reported that Enrique emphasized there is no distinct favorite for the Champions League final, asserting that PSG aims to affirm their status as one of the elite teams in global football.
