United regained the lead with a goal from Matheus Cunha in the 71st minute, followed by a third goal from Benjamin Šeško in the 81st minute, thus confirming their victory.

Softfootball reported that with this win, Manchester United has moved ahead of Aston Villa into third place in the league standings, thereby solidifying their position. Aston Villa, who had enjoyed a strong start to the season, now faces challenges to maintain their status among the top teams.

Casemiro’s performance was notable, marking one of his most successful seasons regarding goal scoring. Since Carrick’s arrival at the club, Benjamin Šeško has also made significant strides, while Matheus Cunha consistently delivers impressive performances, showcasing his finishing and ability to impact the game.

Despite the match reaching a 1:1 draw briefly, Casemiro, Šeško, and Bruno Fernandes helped United to regain momentum. Although Bryan Mbeumo had a less impactful game, he still played a role in the team’s overall efforts. In the end, Manchester United held 52% possession compared to Aston Villa’s 48%.
