The lively Kajozi Beach Party, a celebration of music and culture, has been temporarily suspended to focus on the forthcoming National Senior Certificate (Matric) examinations.
In a public announcement, the event planners, Kaygee The Vibe and Kajozi Management, confirmed that the Caribbean-inspired festival, which was set to start this month, has been postponed in accordance with Joint Operations Committee (JOC) compliance regulations.
These regulations require a calm, quiet, and stable atmosphere for local students during this vital examination period.
“As a community-based establishment, Kajozi fully supports this initiative and remains committed to compliance and the well-being of our community,” management shared in an official statement.
Organizers have promptly arranged for a new date to maintain the excitement.
The beach festival is now officially rescheduled for 28 November 2026 at its initial venue: 605 Moteong Section, Thembisa.
They have confirmed that all previously purchased tickets and current hospitality reservations will still be entirely valid for the rescheduled November event.
Even with the unexpected change in schedule, the management team expressed regret for any inconveniences and vowed to utilize the additional time to present a “bigger, better, and fully JOC-compliant” event.
Those looking forward to attending can still expect signature beach activities such as water slides, beach volleyball, sandcastle contests, and beer pong.
Details on updated artist line-ups, new DJ additions, and ticket logistics will be announced as the new date approaches.
For ticket verifications or any general event inquiries, attendees should reach out directly to Kajozi organizers via phone at 068 862 3565.
