Amapiano artist Mawhoo has publicly spoken about her ongoing dispute with fellow singer Naledi Aphiwe, elaborating on how their previously amicable relations deteriorated.
Their relationship, however, reportedly soured following a significant confrontation involving Mawhoo’s sister, Amahle.
“I remember there was a time she said she wanted me to help her, so she came to Joburg and we recorded a song, but unfortunately it didn’t work out,” Mawhoo recalled.
“The beef started when she started fighting with my sister. My sister was hosting an event, and both of us were booked. Things got messy when she tried to bring in almost 12 people who didn’t buy tickets.”
Mawhoo stated that the situation escalated the following day when her sister asked for a refund from Naledi.
“Naledi started swearing and insulting uAmahle, yoh, I can’t even repeat the things she said because she also spoke ill about my sister’s late child. It got bad,” she remarked.
The artist noted that as the conflict with her sister unfolded, Naledi also began to target her, leading to Mawhoo’s decision to end their relationship and avoid further complications.
