Lionel Messi has achieved yet another significant milestone in his illustrious career by scoring his 930th professional goal during Inter Miami’s 2-2 draw with San Diego FC in Major League Soccer. The Argentine star executed a trademark free-kick to further engrave his legacy.
Softfootball notes that Messi’s remarkable strike in the 24th minute marked his 75th career free-kick goal, bringing his total to 930. This goal also raised his tally to 101 goals for Inter Miami, just four days after netting his 100th goal for the team in their 2-0 Campeones Cup victory against Cruz Azul.

The 39-year-old took the opportunity following a foul just outside the penalty area, curling a left-footed shot around the defensive wall. The ball hit the post before crossing the line, leaving San Diego goalkeeper CJ dos Santos powerless to stop it.
This latest milestone follows Lionel Messi Reaching 100 Goals for Inter Miami With 155 G/A in 114 Games, highlighting his extraordinary impact since joining the club in South Florida. Across all competitions, Messi has scored 101 goals for the franchise while consistently contributing goals and assists.
Despite Messi’s impressive individual achievement, Inter Miami could not capitalize on the lead. San Diego managed to equalize twice, with Anders Dreyer scoring both goals, including the equalizer in the 82nd minute after Luis Suárez had given Miami the advantage.
Messi’s most recent goal brings him closer to the remarkable target of 1,000 career goals, adding yet another chapter to one of football’s all-time great careers.
