- Thandeka Tshabalala has recently been at the center of social media controversy after leaving Big Brother Mzansi
- The reality television figure has been making the rounds on podcasts to discuss her time on the show, and during her visit to Podcast and Chill, she unexpectedly confronted co-host Ghost Lady
- Her behavior left many astonished on social media, with some suggesting she might be jeopardizing her emerging career
Since her departure from the show, Thandeka has remained a hot topic on social media, particularly after her appearance on Podcast and Chill on March 26, 2026, which raised eyebrows.
She was there to share her insights on her experiences during the competition, including the conflicts and connections she made, ultimately reaching the final two.
While she began the interview with confidence, reflecting the traits that endeared her to fans, her sudden altercation with co-host Ghost Lady shocked many, including MacG and Sol Phenduka.
The tension arose when Ghost Lady questioned Thandeka regarding reports of her alleged poor conduct on the show, including claims that she used the communal oven to dry her wig.
She asked Thandeka if she regretted her actions or was proud of her conduct, to which Thandeka clarified that the wig was not actually in the oven.
“There was never a wig in the oven. I would never put Cambodian, 5,000-pound hair in the oven; it would burn. It’s a bio matter. It was our first week there, and we didn’t have plugs. I had something to dry the hair. I’m from Europe, and I didn’t have a South African plug.”

She further elaborated that contestants are challenged to find solutions under various circumstances, stating that she had placed the wig on the oven door to help it dry.
However, her responses quickly turned defensive, escalating what could have been a straightforward clarification into a more uncomfortable exchange.
“I don’t argue with things that are not logical. Can you think sometimes?” said Thandeka.
In an effort to ease the tension, Ghost Lady encouraged Thandeka to explain her points in a less confrontational manner, but Thandeka insisted she was not being defensive, asserting that she was merely expressing her “passionate” side that may be unsettling for some.
“I’m saying something with diction, with passion, and I’m allowed to be passionate. This is not about being soft, I will do it Thandeka’s way. How you receive it seems to be your problem because there’s no harm intended; it’s factual.”
The self-declared “Queen of Bazozwa” stated that public opinion was not her priority.
“I don’t need you to like me, I love myself.”
Her defiant attitude has polarized public opinion; some admire her self-assurance, while others see it as a lost chance for personal development.
