Ntando Duma Reveals Reasons Behind Keeping Her Marriage and Second Child Under Wraps

Ntando Duma discusses her concealed marriage and pregnancy

South African actress and media figure Ntando Duma has shared insights into her choice to keep her personal life and expanding family from the spotlight.

Ntando, who has her first daughter Sbahle with DJ Junior De Rocka, recently welcomed her second child with her spouse, singer Una Rams.

In contrast to her initial pregnancy, which received public attention within weeks, the star opted for a more reserved approach during this new phase.

During her appearance on the L-Tido Podcast, Ntando disclosed that her connection with Una Rams began at the Royal Heritage Festival in Venda, subsequently transitioning to conversations on Instagram.

“Five weeks later we were officially girlfriend and boyfriend. Six months into the relationship he sent a letter home,” she stated.

The couple ultimately wed in a low-key ceremony, attended exclusively by close family and friends.

Fans had their first look at their wedding when Previdar magazine showcased it on June 6.

On August 5, they announced the arrival of their first child together with an endearing cover in Batswadi magazine.

Ntando elaborated on her decision to take a different route this time, saying: “We live very normal lives and not everything that we do needs to be announced or has to be known by everyone. We have so little to ourselves with everything that we do, so it’s important for us to know what is ours and when to put it out there if we decide to do it.”

She emphasized that their choice was not only about privacy but also about taking charge.

“All of that was strategic. We felt we didn’t want the next person to announce it for us, so we did it the best way we know, and we went the route of a magazine cover because of who we are in the industry, and it’s also very controllable as well.”

For Ntando, this decision allowed her and her close ones to cherish their experiences away from external distractions.

“You also get to enjoy the moments without anyone having to say this or that. Not that we care what the next person says, but when you have those moments with those that you love, it’s just so special,” she remarked.
