Ntsiki Mazwai praises Anele Mdoda
Radio host Anele Mdoda gained significant attention after a confrontational discussion with Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille during a live broadcast.
Zille, who is vying for the Johannesburg mayoral position in the 2026 elections, was a guest on Anele and The Club on 947 on Monday, September 22.
The interview escalated from what started as a standard political conversation to a tense exchange when Mdoda challenged her on the DA’s approach to issues of corruption and governance.
The intense dialogue sparked divided opinions among listeners, with some supporting Zille while others commended Mdoda for her pointed questioning.
Among those who voiced support was media figure Ntsiki Mazwai, who expressed her admiration for Mdoda’s courage on social media.
“Well done Anele! As a black person, you are very much the spokesperson for black people! Well done for your bravery and honesty when it got hot in the kitchen. We see you,” Mazwai wrote.
This tweet sparked further online discussions, with many praising Mdoda’s assertiveness while critics argued that the tone of the interview was too aggressive.
Nonetheless, Mazwai’s comments made it evident where she stood, viewing Anele as a committed voice willing to hold politicians accountable.
