Mashego has voiced his complaints online, alleging that Maphorisa is not sharing royalties from the popular song Biri Marung and has been insulting the producer publicly.
On September 22, 2025, Tyler ICU took to Instagram to advise Mashego to reconsider his tactics. He expressed concerns that publicly criticizing and disrespecting Maphorisa could have adverse effects.
“The older people around him should have taught him how these things work. Because right now, you’re insulting Porry, do you know how many people you’re going to offend? People are now addressing the fact that you’re being disrespectful to elders,” he stated.
Tyler encouraged Mashego to pursue his rightful claims, but emphasized the importance of maintaining respect: “Sure, you want what is due to you, but be respectful; that man is an elder to you. You can’t just throw your tongue around just because you’re angry.”
He also indicated that Mashego might be influenced negatively by those in his circle.
“A lot of things are not adding up, and I feel as though his friends are influencing him. He got himself in a situation where anything is a reality to him. Like, whatever anyone says to him, he believes it as fact.”
