Her involvement on Inanda FM included co-hosting the Lunch Time Fix Show with Mr Thulani Zondi, known on-air as Nondaba, as part of the station’s activities for Women’s Month. It was soon after this appearance that she received an unexpected call with a job proposal.

Penny Ntuli’s difficult journey back to radio
The significance of this post is amplified by Ntuli’s past struggles within the industry. She made headlines in 2024 when she disclosed that her monthly earnings at Gagasi FM were merely R2,800. This statement caused a stir in South African media and initiated a widespread discussion regarding compensation for radio personalities. Following her departure from Gagasi, she briefly joined a Johannesburg-based station, but that endeavor ended sooner than anticipated.
The possibility of a role in KZN, while maintaining her base in Johannesburg, seems to have resonated with her followers, who expressed their encouragement in the comments section.
