DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small expressed their appreciation for the enthusiastic audience during their Scorpion Kings Live concert at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, September 19, where thousands gathered to enjoy the event.
The concert offered a day-long celebration of amapiano and other genres of South African music. The gates opened at noon, allowing fans to enjoy a pre-show entertainment segment before the main event commenced at 7pm and ran until 10:30pm.

The event showcased a diverse lineup featuring artists such as Ami Faku, Aymos, Blxckie, Daliwonga, Focalistic, Kamo Mphela, Msaki, Nasty C, Nkosazana Daughter, Ringo Madlingozi, Toss, Young Stunna, Busiswa, Lady Du, Njelic, Pcee, Thatohatsi, and more. This collection of performers highlighted various South African music styles, including amapiano, hip-hop, Afro-soul, and Maskandi.

The audience remained engaged throughout the concert, singing along and dancing during the performances. Among the highlights was Ami Faku’s rendition of “Abalele,” which honored late artists such as Riky Rick, Costa Titch, Killer Kau, and Mpura. She later joined Msaki, Busiswa, Nkosazana Daughter, Lady Du, Thatohatsi, and Kamo Mphela on stage for a segment celebrating women in the music industry.

During the main concert, both DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small had their moments in the spotlight. Kabza De Small captivated the crowd by playing a piano surrounded by flames, while DJ Maphorisa made an eye-catching entrance in his red BMW Gusheshe, linking the performance to South Africa’s car culture.

After the concert, both DJs took to their social media accounts to thank the attendees for their support. The event generated considerable anticipation ahead of its execution, with over 70,000 tickets sold and many others attempting to attend.

This concert at FNB Stadium follows the duo’s previous performance in 2025 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, continuing their series of live events dedicated to amapiano and South African music.
