Dineo Ranaka has opened up about a significant moment in her life, discussing a deep internal conflict and the spiritual awakening that followed.
In an Instagram post, the media figure recounted that on May 23 two years ago, she reached what she termed a spiritual crisis that compelled her to examine various aspects of herself that were no longer beneficial.
Rather than an end in the physical sense, Ranaka realized that it was the unhealthy patterns, habits, and identities that needed to be addressed.
“One morning 2 years ago, May 23, I woke up delirious with a deep urge to seize to exist,” she wrote.
“Later, in solitude, I learnt in spirit that it was not a physical end to life that needed to happen. I needed to seize the existence of the ways that were holding me back.”
She described her experience as a spiritual detox, emphasizing the surrender and transformation she underwent.
Ranaka indicated that this period signified the conclusion of an identity many were familiar with and heralded the inception of a new phase that emphasizes self-awareness and faith.
“A version of me, that we all assumed we knew died,” she shared. “And reborn is this woman that I am enjoying spending time with. I feel everything so deeply and see all things profoundly.”
Moreover, she elaborated on how the experience transformed her relationship with God, noting that she now navigates life with humility and trust instead of certainty.
She also shared a guiding prayer from this experience.
“Father, please reveal YOUR work of art IN ME, through my hands,” she wrote.
In concluding her message, Ranaka described herself as evolving and motivated by faith and personal healing.
“No idea what I’m doing, but following the guidance of God from within,” she remarked, before affirming, “My nervous system is fixed. And so is my heart on the Lord.”
