Scooby Nero Issues Apology: Addressing the Trolling Incident with South Africa

Nigerian social media figure Scooby Nero has issued a public apology in response to criticism following his remarks that he owned 80% of South Africa’s RDP houses.

The entertainer, who has spent more than ten years in South Africa, faced backlash after a video surfaced of him claiming he was collecting rent from locals.

The video rapidly circulated online, leading to widespread outrage and discussion.

In light of the backlash, Scooby Nero released another video to clarify his earlier statements, admitting they were untrue.

He explained that his previous comments were a joke, stating he was “trolling” due to ongoing social media banter.

His intent was to respond to frequent jokes directed at him by South Africans on Facebook with exaggerated statements.

The content creator, who is married to a South African, recognized that his remarks were not acceptable and added to existing tensions.

He also elaborated on several factors that contributed to the video’s viral status.

Scooby Nero concluded his message by apologizing to the people of South Africa and clarified that he does not actually own any RDP houses, as he previously claimed.
