On Valentine’s Day, the experiences of Naledi Aphiwe and Mawelele varied significantly, drawing the attention of their followers.
Mawelele celebrated the day surrounded by romance, publicly announcing his girlfriend on social media.
The musician shared affectionate photos and videos from their outing, complementing them with heart emojis and saying, “iy’ndaba zama feelings 🌹.”
In contrast, Naledi chose to mark the occasion independently but with a positive outlook.
Wearing a vibrant red dress and carrying a bouquet of roses, she posted several images that highlighted her commitment to self-love and personal development.
“On this day of love, I’m reminded that love isn’t just something you receive, it’s something you become. I’ve learned to love myself in ways I once begged others to. I’ve learned to protect my heart, honor my softness, and still stand strong in my power. These roses are beautiful, but nothing compares to the woman I’ve become. Loved, chosen, and at peace,” she expressed.
She added: “Whether love finds me or I create it within myself, I know I deserve the purest kind. Today is not just about being someone’s Valentine, it’s about being mine first. Happy Valentine’s Day to a heart that never stopped believing.”
The differing styles of their posts generated conversations online, with many expressing astonishment at Mawelele’s relationship disclosure, while others offered congratulations for his public announcement.
This revelation also brought back previous discussions regarding the pair’s rumored relationship.
In January, Naledi addressed the rumors, stating that what was perceived as a relationship was part of a promotional effort for their music.
“It was all publicity for our music, and I thank everyone for believing in it. So, yes, I’m not, and never was, in a relationship with Mawelele. The only thing Mawelele would do was kiss me on the forehead, but that was it,” she commented.
