Tasha HendrixX Discusses Her Spiritual Transformation: “I’m Questioning Everything Except Christ.”In a heartfelt recording, HendrixX shared her perspective on how motherhood, marriage, and her spiritual journey have started to wane in significance in a culture where nearly all aspects of life are commodified as content.
“I feel disconnected, bro. I feel like everything that God made valuable in life has become somewhat desensitised,” she expressed. “Everything that truly makes us rich in life. Because if you’re wise, you will know that money doesn’t make you rich.”
HendrixX believes that the true wealth in life goes beyond monetary gains. She highlighted the importance of children, marriage, spiritual enlightenment, the discovery of God’s kingdom, and the expression of one’s God-given talents as lasting values.
Reflecting on her own pregnancy, she mentioned how it altered her view of a concept she had only seen portrayed in media.
“Pregnancy is content,” HendrixX said, sharing her decision not to share her pregnancy journey as content. She noted that experiencing motherhood personally revealed the profound transformation that comes with it.
The artist pointed out that frequent public displays of intimate experiences related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting risk diminishing their true importance.
“I was so desensitised before I got pregnant by pregnancy because I kept seeing it everywhere,” she explained. “It didn’t feel like something that carried true meaning anymore because everybody can see it.”
Her reflections extend to relationships as well. HendrixX expressed concern about the trend of publicizing personal relationship matters, indicating that even exchange of moments traditionally shared privately is increasingly on display.
“Things that should be kept in a marriage bed have become someone’s content,” she noted.
HendrixX described feeling overwhelmed by the massive amount of information and entertainment available, asserting that much of it offers a fabricated view of life disconnected from faith.
“There is just too much,” she stated. “I feel like there is so much nonsense in this world. There’s so much nonsense content and things people are being fed about a life that doesn’t even exist. Because truly, what is life without God?”
Despite her dissatisfaction with contemporary society, HendrixX reaffirmed that her faith is the one area she does not question.
“I’m questioning everything except Christ,” she said. “The only true God that I believe in and serve.”
This spiritual clarity, she elaborated, has transformed her understanding of success. HendrixX mentioned that her previous metrics for success were shaped by societal standards, but she now assesses it through the wisdom and truth she derives from Christ and the Holy Spirit.
This transition has proven challenging.
“This kind of wisdom and knowledge is painful because I don’t know what to do with it,” she confessed.
HendrixX discussed a period of silence, noting that she has been in prayer, seeking guidance on what God wants from her during a time when she feels her message may not resonate widely.
“I’ve been crying out to God, bro, like, what do you want from me?” she said. “Because it feels like the message you put in me, people don’t want to hear it. Or they’re not ready to hear it.”
Rather than completely stepping back from creativity, it seems HendrixX is entering a phase of reflection. She emphasized that music is still a vital part of her identity as she evaluates how to best express her talents.
“I’ll always be an artist. I’ll always be an artist,” she stated.
HendrixX also reflected on the futility of seeking validation online through likes, comments, and interactions that she feels inflate the ego without nurturing the spirit.
“What’s the point of the likes? What’s the point of you commenting on my shit? What’s the point?” HendrixX posed. “It doesn’t fill my spirit. It doesn’t fill my soul. It fills my flesh. It feeds my ego. It feeds my vanity.”
The artist believes that true fulfillment lies elsewhere.
“What I’m looking for is deeper. It’s not here. It’s in the kingdom of God. It’s in His Word,” she articulated.
Acknowledging that adhering to her beliefs can lead to feelings of isolation when they are not widely embraced, she remained firm in her commitment to what she holds as truth.
As she contemplates her approach to music, writing, and her other creative outlets, HendrixX clarified she does not plan to abandon art but is instead pursuing a deeper meaning behind it.
“I love writing. I love rapping. I love the art of music,” she expressed. “I don’t believe I’ll stop until God tells me it’s time.”
HendrixX summed up her message as a reflection of the disconnect she feels with the world alongside a deepened connection she claims to have established with God.
Her closing sentiments echoed this newfound focus: “May the peace of Christ be with you.”
