Following her tenue as first runner-up on Big Brother Mzansi Season 6, Thandeka Tshabalala has become a focal point of discussion on social media, as she raised concerns regarding the competition’s fairness that named Liema Pantsi the winner.
In her initial significant post-show appearance on Podcast and Chill with Mac G, Thandeka expressed her views candidly.
She accused the production team of manipulating footage that portrayed her unfavorably, while casting Liema in a more positive light.
Thandeka claimed that crucial moments were edited selectively, which ultimately altered how viewers perceived her.
“It’s the truth. To come out and find out that some of the things were cut, and I was made to be the villain, and then uLiema is obviously, like dainty, dainty. But it’s fine. But it was rigged from the inside, the punishments they handed down,” she stated.
She elaborated that even the disciplinary actions taken within the house were biased.
Thandeka argued that while other contestants faced penalties, the show’s representation made her the prime target for viewer criticism.
“Come on now, everybody is serving a punishment, but I’m the one who’s wearing amaunicorns, etcetera. You’re obviously making me a target in the house, but I don’t know, maybe for shock value,” she remarked.
The small margin by which she lost to Liema has also drawn her attention.
Still questioning the legitimacy of the final vote count, she remarked: “By three percent?”
Thandeka also noted her influence on the show’s online interaction, asserting that her presence played a significant role in boosting its engagement this season.
Thandeka- I obviously won, it was rigged from the inside, some of the things were cut to make me a target in the house and a villain outside
