The South African Amapiano duo, TNK MusiQ, will soon unveil their new project titled iNgcambu ZikaThixo on Friday, 25 September 2026. This 20-track album represents an important milestone in their musical journey, showcasing their evolution, persistence, and deep commitment to the sound they have developed.
The project is led by the single Wrongo, which sets the stage for the overall sound of the upcoming album. Throughout the 20 tracks, TNK MusiQ navigates various experiences from their journey while continuing to highlight their unique take on Amapiano and their growth as producers.
For the duo, iNgcambu ZikaThixo, meaning “The Roots of God,” symbolizes more than just music. It reflects their faith journey and reinforces the idea that staying devoted to one’s goals can serve as a source of strength during tough times.
“Our journey in music is a journey of faith. We started with nothing but passion. No big co-signs, just us believing in the sound God gave us. We had to learn everything ourselves, producing, mixing, pushing our own music. There were times we wanted to quit, but music wouldn’t let us quit,” TNK MusiQ states.
This project encapsulates the duo’s resolve to persist in their creative efforts despite various challenges. Their largely independent path has involved taking control of many facets of their work, including production, mixing, and promoting their music while cultivating a distinctive sound.
“iNgcambu ZikaThixo is proof of that journey. It shows how far the mind of God can take you when you stay true,” they express.
With its expansive format, the album allows TNK MusiQ to delve into their sound while reflecting on the experiences that have influenced their musical trajectory. It also serves as a tribute to their roots, faith, and the guiding purpose that continues to shape their creative endeavors.
As they embark on this new phase, TNK MusiQ encourages listeners to engage with iNgcambu ZikaThixo as a collection that embodies faith, perseverance, and purpose, offering insight into their growth within the Amapiano genre.
iNgcambu ZikaThixo will be available on all major digital streaming platforms starting 25 September 2026.
