Tracy Vocals is set to reveal a more personal aspect of her artistry with Azalondwe, her debut solo studio album that will delve into her life challenges, perseverance, and passion for music.
The Amapiano singer has developed a notable collection through collaborations with prominent producers and artists within the genre. Nonetheless, her forthcoming project is expected to redirect the focus towards her personal narrative, allowing listeners to gain insight into the experiences and resolve that shape her musical path.
In discussing the project’s artwork, Tracy articulated the significance of Azalondwe, noting it is influenced by her alter ego, Queen Dilika, whom she identifies as the intrinsic hustler within her.
“AZALONDWE a short story about the struggles of life, Hustle and passion for music mainly based on my alter ego, QUEEN DILIKA the hustler in me,” she said.
This insight indicates that Azalondwe will transcend being simply a collection of tracks. The project is anticipated to mirror the hardships Tracy has encountered, the sacrifices she has made in chasing her aspirations, and the fervor that has propelled her in the music world.
Since she burst onto the scene in 2022, Tracy has consistently carved out her place as a well-known voice in Amapiano. While her work on collaborative tracks has expanded her reach, her solo efforts have highlighted her expressive songwriting, soulful vocals, and emotional resonance.
Her musical path includes partnerships with artists like MDU aka TRP, Kelvin Momo, Kabza De Small, DJ Stokie, Sir Trill, and LeeMcKrazy, among others.
She has played a role in popular tracks such as “Vulani” with Kelvin Momo, Da Muziqal Chef, and Thatohatsi; “Ukuphumula” with DJ Maphorisa, Xduppy, Sly, and Thatohatsi; and “Ngimtholile” alongside MDU aka TRP, Zee_Nhle, Thatohatsi, and Toby Franco.
Despite her rich catalogue, Tracy has yet to release a solo studio album, with her collaborative project UHAMBO with Thatohatsi marking an important milestone in her career, making Azalondwe a significant evolution in establishing her personal artistic brand.
This new project represents a chance for Tracy to narrate her story on her own terms, stepping beyond the collaborations that have contributed to her fame.
