Softfootball has reported that Manor Solomon is on the verge of transferring from Tottenham Hotspur to West Ham United. The agreement between the two clubs is valued at £5 million, with an additional £2 million in performance-related bonuses.
The 27-year-old Israeli winger has reached an agreement on personal terms with West Ham and is set to undergo a medical examination today, following Tottenham’s consent for the transfer.
Solomon is anticipated to finalize a three-year contract with West Ham, which includes an option to extend his contract through 2030. The deal also stipulates a 10% sell-on clause, ensuring that Tottenham will benefit financially from any future sale of the player.
This acquisition provides West Ham with a seasoned attacking player as they gear up for a strong campaign aimed at regaining their status in the Premier League after being relegated.
Tottenham had considered selling Solomon last summer, with multiple clubs from both England and Spain expressing interest. However, no transfer took place at that time.
West Ham has acted swiftly to acquire him at a modest initial fee. With the medical appointment confirmed and the deal finalized, Solomon is likely to complete the transfer soon as West Ham prepares for their Championship season and aims to return to the Premier League.
